The Earwigs
Orange County 1981: The Lost Debut Album
scum stats: first 100 copies on blue marble vinyl, next batch of 100 on red/clear splatter vinyl, all sold out, third pressing to be on black/red splatter out in November.
Mike Ubaldini jumped on my radar a couple of years ago and we've kept in touch as he's explored the newfound underground appreciation of his teeneaged punk and roll band the Earwigs. Their original 7-inch single commands hundreds of dollars and demand was enough to dust-off this batch of previously unreleased songs from the same era.
Mike is a mensch and sent an extra copy down here to TMR HQ and so in an effort to spread the word and spread the love, place a comment here, anything, could be just a letter, a word, a punctuation mark, all by midnight central time on Thursday, October 30th DEVIL'S NIGHTS...I will pick a winner at random and they'll get a tasty 12" LP on their very own doorstep.
Well they’re great. Have they been hiding under a stone?
Beautiful catchy stuff.
