It is my legal obligation to notify you that a record featuring Ron Asheton, Mark Arm, Thurston Moore, Mike Watt, Steve Shelley and more has been unleashed on the unsuspecting public.
Formed (and recorded) in 1997 as a means to record Stooges covers for the "Velvet Goldmine" soundtrack, this uber-group comes in hard. Covers of the Pretty Things "Rosalyn" and "LSD"? Can't go wrong with that. Add in a clutch of otherwise overlooked Asheton compositions (some being co-writes with his Destroy All Monsters bandmate Niagara) and what exists here is a pure, classy example of the kind of record we all need more of in our lives. Steamrolling guitar driven rock and roll by folks who've osmotically embodied it. Quintessential.
