True believer John Reis is a goddamned national treasure, dedicating his life, truly, to the cause of real rock and roll for over thirty years now. The world could use 30 more of this guy and it still wouldn't be enough. Artist, producer, label owner, disc jockey...John is truly an inspiration to me on the regular.

This single from his Night Marchers outfit came out last year, simple, bare bones and to the point. Self-released and most likely in a quantity that was a purposeful underestimation of demand. In my opinion, this is something we should see more of, across the board...limited one-off singles that are impactful, brief statements not lending themselves to over-analyzation or protracted critique.

Sometimes a single just needs to be a single and we as the record buying populace needs to demand more of that in our orbit.
