How'd You Feel About Talkin' To Me

scum stats: 300 copies on red vinyl for the US, 300 copies on black vinyl for Europe

Overlooked turn-of-the-century rock and roll from Detroit. Definitely inspired by (and could maybe be considered in the lineage of) the likes of Bantam Rooster and later Laughing Hyenas and Mule ....damn just realized all of those bands are animals, there's gotta be something beneath the surface there surely Freud would have an opinion about it.

Anyway, I played on bills with these guys, they were "around" as it were, but I can't really say that I paid them much mind at the time. There was just SO much going on, it was easy to not be on top of every last damn thing. If you'd asked me back then I would've been able to tell you that the song "I Need More Time" was a fucking jam just from seeing it live, but beyond that....I'd be grasping.

So twenty three years later, I can confirm that "I Need More Time" indeed still rocks BUT IT'S NOT ON THIS ALBUM! I had to go back and find a live clip on YouTube for reference...

The lack of "I Need More Time" is indeed a bummer BUT... the rest of the tracks hold up. Just thirsty for some "I Need More Time" over here. And I am ALWAYS happy to see any other labels ready to put the time and effort into releasing important archival Detroit recordings. There will literally never be too many people fighting that good fight, so we gotta all support each other. And all the more reason for you to support them too.
