A week later I am still elevated on the veritable overdose I've got of wild Detroit records at Circle Game. I knew nothing about this one when I grabbed it, could tell just by the look it was pressed at Archer and at this point in life that's absolutely enough for me to pull the trigger. The synth drums and chicka-chicka Prince-ified guitar parts here are golden. A-side just trucking. Flip is more on the sultry side of things, silky, smooth, songwriting that seems to betray the simple and one-off nature of the record. Success.
