Writing from home. I asked my eldest to go and grab a record from the shelf, any record, so I could write about it. She came back with some promo-only Ride 12-inch single. "Grab another record" I said. When she asked why I replied "Because this one's mom's. I don't know it."

So she comes back with this Melvins 12-inch single. I have half a mind to say that's a childhood photo of Darby Crash on the cover. There are many different versions of the Melvins covering "Youth Of America" but this one with Kevin Rutmanis on bass feels special, if only for the reason that I once went to Disneyland with him.

I think this is the version, but if not, oh well, enjoy.
