Rob Noyes / Alexander split-single
scum stats: seems limited, but who knows?
Open tuned acoustic guitar rambles can propel me for days. And on a 7” single? Be still my heart.
This song (untitled?) just jumps right into things with no messing around and does not stop or even slow down for the entirety of the 3:20 duration. Ends abrupt like a bullet to the head. This guy is going places.
Was hipped to Noyes by some email list or another, his debut album packaged as SEALED shut in a quasi-envelop style AND with original Raymond Pettibon art. An inauspicious start, to be sarcastic. He does not disappoint.
I don’t know anything about Alexander, but I can say that his track here, while a little less manic, does not disappoint me.
A solid two-sider. Rare. Enjoy.
