Kings of the Fucking Sea

"In Concert"

scum stats: black vinyl, I'd guess a couple hundred copies

Recalling the oomph of Mudhoney and the tone of Sleep, Nashville's Kings of the Fucking Sea are in pure form with this exquisitely executed live LP. Don't check it out because they're my friends...check it out because it's undeniably good.

The cover of T. Rex's "Buick Mackane" is of particular swagger here while the original "Witch Mountain (No Return, No Escape)" presses HARD with blasting fuzz drone repetition for days. And a 1970's sci-fi reference in the title? Works for me. On the other side of the spectrum, the cover of Mecca Normal's "I Walk Alone" daringly shows a quasi-tender moment amongst the maelstrom. Unexpected but wholly enjoyed. Charming even.

Packaged in a fancy-pants gatefold jacket with shiny silver foil stamping and the first 100 or so copies coming with an autographed poster (you may not have missed out just yet) this is just a great rock and roll refresher course. Register now.
