So when you're lazily scrolling Instagram and see a post that says "I will be making no contact deliveries of the new Schizos LP in East Nashville this afternoon" doesn't matter if I know the record/band or not, I'm gonna participate in that shit. Easiest way to my heart. And that LP shows up while I'm changing a diaper with no interruption? Golden.

Funny thing about these Schizos...I picked their "Fuck Iggy Pop" single as a record of the week some time ago, based on a recommendation from a friend saying "you gotta check out the Schizos." Turns out that friend was talking about the Schizophonics, just using a colloquial version of their name. I didn't even know Schizos were from Nashville.

Anyway, the COVID-inspired delivery of their LP avails me to their dirty punk sounds a la Goner Records, Jay Reatard, Solger and the first few Killed By Death compilations. Distored, in the red, overblown, only one song clocking in over 2 minutes...these are all plusses in my book. A solid entry in the pantheon...and I'm assuming they're probably a great band to see live.

Side note: you ever had to try and separate Pla Doh from Silly Putty? Or deal with a sink drain clogged with Floof? I'm getting a better handle in general of the work from home, but the new challenges thrown my way are beguiling.
