NODS SPAN VARIETY OF CATEGORIES, INCLUDING “BEST MUSIC VIDEO,” “BEST BOXED OR SPECIAL LIMITED EDITION PACKAGE,” AND “BEST RECORDING PACKAGE”

Third Man Records has received a number of prestigious nominations for the upcoming 58th Annual GRAMMY® Awards. The GRAMMY® Awards will be held on Monday, February 15th at the Staples Center in Los Angeles and broadcast live on CBS from 8-11:30 pm (ET/PT).

Third Man earned three nods across a trio of important categories:

“I Feel Love (Every Million Miles)” – the first single/video from The Dead Weather’s acclaimed third album, DODGE AND BURN – was named in the “Best Music Video” category, honoring video directors Cooper Roberts & Ian Schwartz and video producers Candice Dragonas & Nathan Scherrer. “I Feel Love (Every Million Miles)” can be viewed below:

THE RISE & FALL OF PARAMOUNT RECORDS, VOLUME TWO (1928-32) – released via Third Man Records / Revenant Records – was nominated as “Best Boxed or Special Limited Edition Package,” naming art directors Susan Archie, Dean Blackwood, and Jack White. The nomination follows last year’s GRAMMY winning package for THE RISE & FALL OF PARAMOUNT RECORDS, VOLUME ONE (1917-32). Last, but certainly not least, Third Man Records’ 10-inch, 78rpm facsimile vinyl re-release of Elvis Presley’s “My Happiness,” his first ever recording from 1953, was nominated for “Best Recording Package,” honoring art directors Jack White & Nathanio Strimpopulos. Today’s nominations continue Jack White’s long run of top GRAMMY® nods and triumphs, with 2012’s RIAA gold certified solo debut, BLUNDERBUSS, earning five nominations over two years, including “Album of the Year,” “Best Rock Album,” “Best Rock Song” (for “Freedom At 21”), “Best Rock Performance,” and “Best Music Video” (the latter two honoring the single, “I’m Shakin”). 2014’s LAZARETTO also proved popular with GRAMMY® voters, scoring a nomination as “Best Alternative Music Album,” while its title track received the 2015 GRAMMY® Award for “Best Rock Performance” as well an additional nod as “Best Rock Song.” To date, Jack has won 11 GRAMMY Awards and received 32 nominations.

Highlighted by such songs as “I Feel Love (Every Million Miles),” “Cop and Go,” and “Impossible Winner,” DODGE AND BURN made a spectacular chart debut upon its September 2015 release, entering the Soundscan/Billboard 200 at #10 – The Dead Weather’s third consecutive top 10 debut. What’s more, DODGE AND BURN came in at #1 on Billboard’s “independent Albums” chart and #2 on both the “Alternative Albums” and “Rock Albums” rankings.
