Snõõper, “Nashville’s greatest new punk band” (Stereogum), announce a US fall tour and present the video for “Music For Spies.” The track is a standout from their acclaimed debut album Super Snõõper, released last month on Third Man Records and praised by BUST Magazine as “the Garage-Rock Record of the Summer.” Snõõper have built their reputation on their raucous live shows, thrilling spectacles which integrate a slew of different artistic mediums — music, video art, puppetry, assemblages and more — to create a unique experience for each performance. The “Music For Spies” video collages highlights from the band’s wild live performances and offers a mere sampling of the antics that await audiences this fall.

Following a handful of East Coast dates later this summer, Snõõper’s fall tour will bring them to Chicago, Minneapolis, Kansas City and more, culminating with a performance at Austin City Limits. A full list of tour dates is below.

Snõõper is a band who, in a 33 ⅓ RPM world, make 45 RPM music played at 78 RPM. Formed in 2020 by singer Blair Tramel and guitarist Connor Cummins, Snõõper’s initial 8-track recordings were released on DIY labels. Although not originally intended as a performance project, the duo brought these recordings to life with the additions of Cam Sarrett (drums), Happy Haugen (bass) and Ian Teeple (guitar). Given the brief glimpses into Snõõper’s music from their 7”s, EPS, and inimitable live performances, one might wonder if the group could hold the line for a full album. The answer is an enthusiastic yes. In the words of Henry Rollins, “Speaking selfishly, I want Snõõper to hurry up and make another album. Super Snõõper is a really cool record.”

You can probably finish a cup of coffee in the time it takes to listen to [Super Snõõper], but there are layers to the group's bite-sized blasts of guitar noise that will have you coming back for more. FADER

With songs that explode like a nailbomb and travel at a breakneck speed while retaining the precision of a Formula 1 driver, Super Snõõper feels as extravagant and lawless as child’s play.” Stereogum

“Super Snõõper is a cool, sharp and energized debut from a punk band you’re not gonna want to ignore. Paste

Most songs on Super Snõõper hover manically around the one-minute mark, and play like wind-up toys with an overwound key, cramming in memorable choruses, hooky riffs and surprisingly nuanced arrangements […] they are perfect little creations. Brooklyn Vegan

In a genre that can be more than a little guilty of taking itself too seriously, Snõõper are devotedly silly.” NME
